President Goodluck Jonathan awarded N2m for bringing home the trophy. He received the Golden eaglet in Abuja on yesterday, November ,10th.  Members of the coaching crew were given $3M dollars each by the president who described the victory of the eagles as a pride to the nation and the continent.
