Alhaji Yusif, one of the commissioner of Zamfara State Local Government Service was shot and killed by three unknown gunmen at his residence in Ungwar Zabarma of Tudun Wada area of the state capital, Gusau, on Friday, March 14. The commissioner who was shot in the chest and abdomen died on the spot.
The governor of Zamfara State Alhaji Yari Abubakar, while on
condolence visit to the family of the deceased stated that “no one’s
safety is guaranteed” due to Nigeria’s
prevailing insecurity.
He also expressed concern that the
current situation in the country.
