Photos: UNILAG And LASU Students Protesting Registration Fee Hike


Student of UNILAG took to the streets on Friday to continue protesting hike in tuition fees, blocking main entrance to the school and preventing cars from going in or coming out.
 The protesting students said the school  management shut the school portal against registration and began demanding for N10,000, which again increased to N15,000 and later to N20,000 progressively in the last few days.
One of the protesting student said that poor technical capability of students’ portal and the attitude of the personnel at the institution's IT center caused delay in students registration for a new semester. The students are singing protest songs, accusing the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rahman Bello of corruption.
They said the ban on their Students Union, since 2005 will not hinder them from protest action against oppressive policies of the school management.











Meanwhile students of Lagos State University were also protested  yesterday their own school fees hike...They even blocked  the main enterance of Lagos State Governoment  House in Alausa. The  protesting students cooked and ate their lunch right in front of the Government house.
