"I Retired To Take Care Of My Husband"-Celine Dion

She still remain one of my favorite singers of all time. Celine Dion disclosed that she took off time singing because she needed to take care of her 72 years old husband who was diagnosed of throat cancer.

René Angéli was previously diagnosed with throat cancer in 1999, In Dec. he had a successful surgery and is currently recuperating.

Celine Dion in her released a statement following René's most recent surgery.

            'I don't want René to stress out with work-related issues,' she said.

 'I want him to focus on getting back to 100%. I've been doing my shows at the Colosseum and everything's under control.'
'At home we've been spending a lot of quality time with the family,' Céline revealed in her statement. 'We feel very fortunate that we've been able to get the best care possible and we thank God every day for helping us get through this ordeal.'

 The couple met when Céline was 12 and René was 38, but they didn't begin a relationship until she was 19, getting engaged four years later and marrying in December 1994. They have three children together - 13-year-old René-Charles and twins Eddy and Nelson, three and Céline says her man is focusing on his brood. Hope to see a full come back to music soon.
