85 Nigerian Asylum Seekers Deported From Cameroon


Cameroonian government has deported 85 Nigerian asylum seekers, who fled Nigeria over the increasing attacks by the Boko Haram Islamic sect and had sought asylum in the country’s district of Mayo Tsanaga. Among the 85 Nigerians deported includes; 40 children, 32 women and 13 men.


The government said that the decision to deport Nigerians was as a result to control people from countries who have been struck with Ebola virus, and in order to control and protect the virus from entering their country.

Since 2013, there are more than 17,000 has fled the country over Boko haram attack to seek refuge in other countries like Chad, Cameroon, Niger
