Singer Kenny St. Brown Contesting For Lagos House of Assembly Under APC

I wonder what is so enticing about this politics that almost every Nigeria entertainer is contesting for a seat. It all started with Julius Agwu, Kate Henshaw,Desmond Elliot, 9ice, Bob Manuel Udokwu and now Kenny St Brown. So who will be next?..

Singer Kenny St. Brown has declared her intention to run for a seat at the Lagos House Of assembly. She has unveiled her 2015 campaign poster and will be running under APC .

In an interview with Thisday, Kenny was asked her reasons for going into politics, she said;

 "I reside in Onigbongbo local government area of Lagos State and for over six years, I’ve been part of the local government in the area of development. Basically in the area of education, development of the public school and upgrading of public schools in Onigbongbo local government. At the state level, I am the main act at the state children’s Christmas party and I was very active during the 2007 elections that brought in Governor Fashola. I’ve always been quite active in the background in politics, but it was last year that I decided that I can do something about changing the face of youth development in Ikeja and Lagos as a whole.
Apart from being a youth coach, youth pastor that requires me to see to the development of the youth, I have a yearning and pull towards the street and seeing that every girl that comes out to hustle on the street at night should have a privilege to become a better citizen, and be given the privilege of better productivity in the areas of what they can do to improve their lives apart from prostitution.
