Sunday Teaching: The Golden Rule Of Sowing Evil And Good Seed

Never sow or invest money because you love to make money. There's nothing wrong in making money as long as your heart is in God and not in money. Turn to 1 Timothy 6:10 - "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." (NKJV)

Sad to say, but many Christians fall in the pit of money and lose their perspective in Christ. Stay focus on Christ to make money to expand the Gospel of Christ and not to focus on money to expand the church building and acquisitions to look good.

                                            CONDITIONS MUST FIRST BE MET

Turn to Luke 6:38; "If you give, you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use in giving – large or small – it will be used to measure what is given back to you.

"Notice the part of that verse "If you give, you will receive." The first key word here is "IF". This is a conditional word that requires a decision on your part that sets forth the conditions to set in motion the results. The other two words, "give" and "receive", both words are action words that requires you to act in order to meet all the conditions that will bring your harvest to past. Look at the next part, "Your gift will return to you."

Now that is a promise and a guarantee from God that you will receive back your investment and more. The word here is "will" return to you. It doesn't say "may" return to you. That's because it's a fact statement that guarantees a return, but nowhere does it say WHEN your gift will return to you.
That's because there's a waiting period for the return investment. Ok, so you met all the requirements of “IF”, and set forth in motion the act of GIVING and the act of RECEIVING by Faith, will be returned to you. How much is return to you, will depends on how much of your heart you put into your giving that will determine how much you are willing to receive what is returned to you. Its all about having the right attitude of heart and spirit.

                                                IMPATIENT CANCEL YOUR HARVEST
Too many impatient Christians have sown or invested in the Kingdom of God, but began to get impatient with their return and have cancelled their harvest because they spoke unbelief. As a result, they lost their harvest because they lost faith in their waiting for their harvest.

Turn to Proverbs 18:21; "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." Confessing unbelieving statements like "I'm never going to see it come to pass", will cancel or nullify your harvest. For example, if you invest $1000.00 in saving bonds at 10% interest for a mature period of 5 years. You will receive your $1000.00 plus interest at the end of your maturing date. However, if you get impatient and demand your investment before the 5 yrs maturity date, then you will lose your interest and you would be penalized and lose a small portion of your investment.

                                                        IN CONCLUSION
Here is how God defines good ground for planting seeds. He said to me sometime ago, "Never sow to invest, but invest to sow. In other words, never sow in a ministry that invest in personal gain, but invest in a ministry that sows in peoples lives."
