Sunday Teaching: What You Sow Is What You Reap

In this lesson you will learn about some of the spiritual laws of sowing and reaping so that you can have a general picture how God operate and do miracles. You will know how to sow, where to sow and why sow. But also you will learn about what do you sow, and when to reap.

What is sowing and reaping?....Sowing involves putting something in the ground. If the farmer doesn't sow seeds in the ground he will not have a crop. He plants, he reaps that's a law of nature.

God too has a spiritual law and that is the law of sowing and reaping. This law is automatic, that is to say that God has laid down the foundation for this principal to work. There are many types of sowing and reaping.
You can sow your money. You can sow your time. You can sow love. You can sow salvation in others. You can sow peace. You can sow your spiritual light. You can sow your friendship. There's so much you can sow. But again you must sow the right seeds.

If a farmer wants to reap carrots he must sow carrot seeds. If a farmer sows tomato seeds to have a crop of carrots, well he's in for a surprise. If your believing God for finances, then you sow your best financial seed.

Here are some of the key words in that scripture that we're going to look at:

1- Plant - To put in place or to put into effect, to sow or to invest. Many people plant financial seeds but complain when the time comes to harvest because their harvest is so small. Invest small, reap small. Sow small, reap small. Invest or sow BIG, and reap BIG. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

2- Good soil - A place that preaches or teaches the Word of God in such a way that people's lives are saved and changed. Planting or investing is easy, but finding good ground or good places to invest is not so easy as it looks.
If you find a church or ministries that just preach the word and don't grow is not considered a good place to sow or invest. However, find a church or ministries that has a vision that allows the growth and the advancement of the Word of God by building and expanding it's vision and bring it to pass. That's good grounds or a place to invest in.

3- Hear - To listen and to acknowledge the Word of God. A lot of people hear the teaching but are not listening, meaning they are not acknowledging what the Word of God is saying. Sometime the Word of God falls to deaf ears.
Turn to James 1:22; "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." Some people hear the Word preach but they are not listening to what it really is saying.

4- Accept - To receive, understand and to summit to the Word of God. Receive what the Word of God says concerning investing or sowing in the kingdom of God.

5- Produce - To make or to bring forth, to yield, to create. Deuteronomy 8:18 "And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
We are given the ability to sow or invest in the Kingdom of God, but not everyone is convinced that the Word of God will bring them a return. Doubt and unbelief kills faith and brings your harvest to a halt. It literally stops the growing and reaping process in its track.
