The 38-year-old former Fugees singer was released from a minimum security federal prison on Friday after serving a three-month sentence for failing to pay taxes on $1.8m worth of income.
According to TMZ
Hill asked a judge for a reprieve from home detention so she can tour from Nov. 15 through Dec. 31 and her request was granted.
The New Jersey native had failed to pay her taxes from 2005 to 2007.
In addition to the three-month house detention, Hill also was placed under parole supervision for a year.
Hill started singing with The Fugees as a teenager in the 1990s before releasing her multiplatinum 1998 album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
The Grammy winner is the mother of six and has five children with Rohan Marley, the son of reggae legend Bob, and a sixth with another man.
