Not long ago Rihanna had a traditional maori tattoo performed with a chisel and mallet, this time she flew in her American ink artists to meet her in the Dominican Republic on Sunday.The designers said it took them 11 hours to make the traditional marks look pretty.

Rihanna Gets Tattoo The Hard Way (Watch Video)

Rihanna decided to get a traditional tattoo inked on her right hand in a hard way during her recent trip to New Zealand. Traditional Ta Moko tattoos are very painful where a chisel, ink pigment and a mallet to make markings on the skin(sounds painful right?)unlike the modern tattoos that use needle machine.
The 25-year-old singer is seen maintaining her composure for the majority of the video, before she starts grimacing as the process comes to an end. Rihanna appears to find it particularly difficult as Inia and local musician Tiki Taane, who was helping him with the process, moved on to her knuckles  hitting the chisel with the mallet to place the pigment into her skin. |
